Microsoft: Application for Name Rights for Possible Esports

Microsoft acquired the ESPORTS platform smash.gg in December 2020 to an unknown purchase price. The platform promotes competitive communities and organizes tournaments and more that Microsoft also wanted to continue. The Esports platform could soon start under a new name, because Microsoft announced the trademark rights for "start.gg" on yesterday Thursday. The categories specified in the application include use for eSports organizations. The domain name start.gg is also registered on Microsoft.
