How to get clay in ground
The clay is only one of the many resources you will need to gather Grounded. Fortunately, it's not that hard to find, but you will need to do some preparation work before they can harvest it.
Where to find clay
You can find clay near any body of water on the map. It will look like a big brown stone just at the edge of the water. To harvest it, you will need a shovel because it will not break if it is struck by another tool.
To make a shovel, you will need to go to the big oak north of the map and watch the floor below looking for a fallen gland. When you find a glans, crush it with your hammer, then retrieve the broken pieces. To make a shovel, you will need the following resources:
- 2 x strand
- 3 x Woven Fiber
- 1 x Gland Shell
Strand
You can collect strands over the entire card, they are small plants that grow pretty much at the height of your characters and can be picked by interacting with them.
Woven Fiber
You can get woven fiber by picking up the smaller plants that grow in the game, which you can find just about anywhere. You must bring it to an analyzer in a field tent and scan, and then you can create fabric woven in the Materials tab of the Manufacture menu.
Now that you have your shovel, simply crush the clay with it until it breaks and you can loot the pieces.
