Prepare for a moving and slightly terrifying story about how to make dreams, virtual animal torture and, almost definitely, at least a violation of the health code.

Make-A-Wish Foundation is a non-profit organization that helps to make children's wishes reality with terminal and critical illnesses, either to become a firefighter, meet their sports hero or spend a day at Minecraft developer Mojang.

The latter is exactly what happened to a lucky young man, who was able to visit the offices of the company in Seattle (where Xbox and Microsoft are located) on a safe tour of Covid for his new study space, along with several other studies of Xbox, like the creators. of Halo, 343 Industries.

When we asked our young friend what was the construction of his dreams , he really could not decide. There were so many wonderful things to build and, nevertheless, so little time during our visit!

So this is where we landed: Let's make a crater and fill it with cows.

So it's what we did.

After filling the crater of poor and innocent animals of herd, the child added one last detail: a hamburger restaurant, called McDragons. Do not ask where you get your meat.

Matt Gartzke, Community Manager of Mojang, was there in person. I think he was one of the first people outside of Mojang Studios in seeing the new space, he said, including our huge timeline of more than 18 meters from the history of Minecraft. The visitor of him had begun to play Minecraft in the summer of 2017, which became him making his own games in Unreal Engine.

Some team members were present at the office for the visit, while others joined by jumping at a shared kingdom, the internal minecraft servers, to build with their visitor.

There was also a break with Vindicators, dispensers and Ender Dragon heads. You know how these things go (Image: Mojang)

The real architect was our young friend, Kristina Horner said in an email. Kristina is Community Manager in Mojang and author of the article on the website that details the visit of Make-A-Wish. He was addressing us all, from the original crater (he created an expert way using TNT) until the local questionable of hamburgers, he was making decisions!

Matt Gartzke agreed with Horner: Our guest had the ideas of what to build and collaborate with him in construction! We really did not have an objective established in mind at first, but it evolved rapidly throughout the session.

Although obviously the team could not provide photos, and we do not know anything about the child beyond the love of him by Minecraft, we can say that he was great. Thanks to Kristina Horner and Matt Gartzke for talking to us!

What would be the construction of your dreams if you could visit the Mojang study? Let us know in the comments!
