New review of Super Lucky's story - luck has nothing to do with that

Classic platforms never really demode, is not it? Games like Crash Bandicoot, Super Mario Odyssey and Yooka-Lylee have all been recent versions that have aroused success. With success, however, failures, because it still seems to be a new platform that tries to capture this winning formula. Most rely on a cute character who is sent to collect objects of different types in a world filled with platforms. However, all do not succeed in making it a nice task. So with all this in mind, New Super Lucky's Tale recently supported the Nintendo Switch; Is it lucky enough to justify your attention?

The exclusive origin of the Xbox One, Super Lucky's Tale was developed by Playful Studios. The version of Nintendo Switch has been completely rebuilt, which highlights the passion of developers for the title because they have made many improvements to the Xbox One version published in 2017. But it is not Lucky's first adventure., his first game titled Lucky's Tale came out in 2016 for Oculus Rift.

NEW Super Lucky's Tale on Nintendo Switch is NOT what you think...

The game follows the story of Lucky, an adorable fox that must prevent a gang of perverse cats, known as Kitty Litter, to steal the pages of the Book of Ages. This book would have magical powers and Lucky will have to travel in different worlds to defeat the gang of minors and go home. Although the story is simple, it aims to give you a motivation to explore the different areas of the game. In each level, you will meet a variety of secondary characters and other bad guys who help advance the story. Surprisingly, the dialogue is quite spiritual and light, which integrates perfectly into this game. Expect a lot of chat and conscious humor word games. So much so that I even laughed at certain times. Even the dialog boxes on the loading screen are smart. Some provide useful tips, while others simply contain a joke to make you smile.

Visually, this brightly colored game plays very well with cartoon style. You will see a lot of details in Lucky himself, even in his lively eyes, who react to everything that happens in the game. The levels are all unique because they are used as rotating plates to which Lucky goes to collect the objects in order to move to the next box. There is a lot of variety in this game, some levels are in 3D, others in 2.5d lateral scrolling. Some allow you to walk in a vast open world, while others are Temple Run, where you are constantly running. We encourage you to get out of the beaten track and try new things, which can sometimes lead to the creation of unique mini-games to collect more objects.

However, with all levels and visuals of the game, you will notice that many loading screens may seem excessively long and overused. Sometimes I died if I had a loading screen that seemed to last an eternity, but I would die again. However, you will learn how to neglect that because of all the positive elements of New Super Lucky's Tale.

The sound design is quite standard with enough variety to match the tone of each level. The characters all have unique voices and the varied levels have appropriate and complementary sound effects, which you can not prevent the finesse of what you hear. The most innovative part of New Super Lucky's Tale is Lucky himself and his ability to lock himself in the basement. Lucky will jump in the air and then move under the ground for a short time. This innovative movement allows you to collect objects or avoid the dangers when you move under an enemy, and you come up behind him.

Cute and charming are perfect words to describe this game. The sign of a good platform game is the one where players want to explore and collect all the objects around each level. I found myself wanting to do that and more. New Super Lucky's Tale offers a platform game that will appeal to the whole family being easy to play, visually attractive and presenting a new and intelligent mascot to the faithful of Nintendo. I hope we will see more lucky in the future.
