Quietus of the Knights now haunts on PS4 and PS5

Under Lilies: Quietus of the Knights, the dark and melancholic lateral scroll action game continues to haunt the long winding corridors of the game industry, and now this agitated soul derives on PS4 and PS5 thanks to the RetroCompatibility. This game is well known for its stifling atmosphere, its emotional sound band and its deeply troubling Gothic horror aesthetics, which are all presented in this Japanese PS4 / PS5 launch trailer.

My HONEST Review of Chorus! (PS5/PS4/Xbox)

At the beginning of the trailer is a stream of distinctions, which all serve to establish the reception of the game. Spoilers, but Under Lilies: Quietus of the Knights was extremely well-received by fans and most media, including we.

From there, the trailer briefly presents the protagonists, Lily and the Knight of the Umbra, having a moment of calm before moving on to one of the disturbing environments of the game emerging from the rain. The next part of the trailer shows Lily walking slowly in immense empty corridors, exploring as new areas open for her — and reaching hand with corrupt minds of her enemies.

The absence of spoken dialogue and the focus on visual design and symbolism help transmit the tone of the game, which is good because at the time of writing, the English version of this trailer seems impossible to locate. The rest of the trailer is dedicated to the presentation of the game fights, dark but breathtaking environments and the many horrible bosses that will do their best to stop Lily in its momentum.

In this game, the players embody Lily, the last white priestess charged with cleaning the Kingdom of Land's End of the supernatural curse known as the plague. The Blight is essentially a zombie virus, and it has transformed the inhabitants of the Kingdom in Miss-living grotesque, but purify their soul may require more than what Lily can give.

Alongside Lily is the Knight Umbra, a sudden but faithful spectrum that is somehow remained intact all these years. They and all the other purified spirits handle the attack, because Lily is a girl who can not defend themselves physically against blighted ones.

Under Lilies: Quietus of the Knights is now available on PlayStation 5 via a backward compatibility with PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC.
